PonyCraft 2 - StarCraft 2's trailer, but with ponies.
I never thought as a heterosexual man I would be enthusiastically downloading My Little Pony episodes at the age of 30, but here we are.

This is a good fan art resource. (moderated to keep the creepy chan stuff out) If you haven't watched this show yet (try it, for real.), this is a good episode to start with. The two part pilot is good too but like a lot of pilots may not be the best to watch first to get the real flavor of how the show ended up in production.

there are a lot of Starcraft II trailers out there. Anyone have a link to the original that's parodies here? This is awesome btw. My pinki and the brain loving roommate also appreciated that one.

Are the older MLP cartoons any good? Or is this just so appealing because Lauren Faust was involved in so many of the shows I liked growing up? Powerpuff Girls, Foster's... Hey, she was an animator on The Iron Giant too!
Like most people, I assumed MLP was cutesy fluff, but I've seen a few screencaps of older shows, and they make the monsters (cockatrice, hydra, manticore) in Faust's version seem pretty tame. Were they some kind of secret nightmare fuel?

Never saw the original, even though my sister liked the toys and was and is obsessed with real life ponies. Apparently it was standard 80's cartoon quality. Some of the clips from the shows in between I've seen out of curiosity have been entirely unwatchable.

The older 80's MLP cartoons were quite bad. Even the people I know who actually had and played with MLP's when they were children in the 80's didn't think much of it, as far as I can tell.

Strawberry Shortcake was cooking up chemical weapons of mass destruction, which the Ponies and Care Bears secretly envied while they publicly denounced the threat. War was inevitable. The Ponies had greater numbers, but the Care Bears had air superiority, and neither could withstand those flesh-melting strawberry kisses. War was inevitable...
The carnage strewn across my sister's room still haunts me. At least Cobra had a sense of honor. The Decepticons could be reasoned with. Neither ever reached the heights of depravity that those magical embodiments of human virtue achieved. It seems absolute moral certainty excuses any atrocity.

Regarding the original trailer this is based on: I don't get it! Starcraft II is an RTS! This is Square-style cinematics! I would pay $10 to see the cheezy sci-fi action movie this could be the trailer to (heck, I paid $7.50 or something for The Spirits Within, and it was at least pretty), but not $60 for the game this has very little to do with, aside from the skeleton of a plot played out in frustrating RTS sequences.
Regarding the remix: I am so bloody amused.
