If Jesus were to show up today - I mean the real Jesus-as-spiritual-teacher Jesus - it would be almost impossible for him to get any attention. He would have to be a Rock Star, or a Movie Star, just to tell people to try to be their best, to help each other, to make the world a better place.
I'm not a religious person, but I wish you all love and peace and some form of transcendent New Year.
