Gif Sound is a mashup site that allows you to combine gifs and youtube audio in a manner similar to YTMND. Gif Sound The Video is a compilation (NSFW language) of the top rated videos from r/GifSounds

Ha I was just thinking about making a post about gifs with sound. I think it's inevitable that we'll have a gif format soon that you hover over or click to enable sound but for now this is a cool workaround. Afterall 2011 was 2012 is the year of the animated gif.

(Maybe we can have a gif about the correct way to pronounce 'gif').

I wanna make a gif of the word GIF in blinking glittery fluorescent green and the audio will be Terry Crews SHOUTING the correct pronunciation of the word GIF, which, as we all know, is not at all like the peanut butter and I don't even fucking care what that creator dude says because he is wrong and I will fight him.

That video was great. The individual clips were either genius or cheap. I think the skrillex/death grips cat is my favorite after the disrespect your surroundings bad ass.

I only use the 'soft G' pronunciation when talking to non-web-literate people to prevent the inevitable "what does it have to do with peanut butter?" question.

Clearly Youtube is keeping a close eye on MeFi because the video is unavailable at this time. Maybe we need to switch to N*S*F*W or even N•S•F•W.

Vis-a-vis pronouncing GIF, both variations appear in dictionaries at your favorite bookstore.
