Louis C.K. interviewed by James Poniewozik about his work on the hit show Louie (YT, 54 minutes). Recorded at The Paley Center for Media in New York City.
thanks for that, I have to work late and this is nice to listen to meanwhile.

Nope. Andy Kindler's sour grapes are not at all amusing. Liked the FPP interview a lot though, thanks for posting it!

I like the look Louis gets early on when he realizes James Poniewozik is not exactly going to be the most on-the-ball interviewer.

It's not really sour grapes if every comic in the world comes to see Kindler do the State of Comedy set every year on purpose because it's fantastic. Gotta slaughter some sacred cows from time to time. Hero worship, especially in comedy, is stupid.

Thanks for posting this. I'd never have seen this otherwise.
Louis CK is such a grounded guy. This makes watching the show even better.
It's weird that making small bets like this on shows is not done more. It's like finding start ups. Putting a lot down in a lot of places might yield better than putting a lot down on one particular thing.

I saw Louis C.K. on the current tour. Any 2 minutes of that was funnier than the 6 minutes of whoever the fuck Andy Kindler is.
With a better delivery, and less fucking up and stammering, as well.
Louis has been successful over the last few years because he keeps putting out hour-long specials each year. Louie the show is successful _because_ its different and not trying to be a traditional sitcom. I mean, I didn't even hear that as sour grapes, he just sounded like a clumsy hack. I listened to the follow-up, and if your claim to fame is writing something for national lampoon in 1985 then you missed the boat both ways.
Also, if his indictment is that Louis CK sees himself as not ever doing anything wrong, or not being his fault, then ... well he's not really familiar with the guys material. He should watch him discuss the making of Pootie Tang.
