Yemeni Proverbs for All Occasions : "He who has no job should search for a camel.", "A destroyer can defeat thousands of earthenware makers." and "My daughter, as long as you keep quiet, much money will paid for your marriage." Clever these Yemenese.
Apparently, proverbs are not unique to Yemen.. I did not know this.
Why, it seems there are Maori proverbs (I might as well be sitting on the blowhole of a whale. ), Kiswahili proverbs (When two bulls fight, it is the grass that suffers), Mongolian proverbs (Ride on the back of a calf - you’ll never reach the nomad camp.)... all sorts of proverbs. I had no idea!
(via dmoz)
Seriously though, was there something to this that I missed or were you just sharing the proverbs?
