IE 5.5 beta is out, and there's an article on MSDN describing its new features. Most interesting are the user comments, where everyone's saying "standards! standards!" (click "read user comments" at the bottom of the page)
5.5 beta is the empire strikes version of IE. Take that Netscape-gecko(pow)! Now back to the standards which are different for each browser. I took a look at a couple sites in the new netscape. Woo-boy i am gonna have to hit the drawing board again.

Who wants standards when you can have colored scrollbars. That's right: "You can now specify the color of scroll bars using style sheets. " Thank you, Microsoft, my dreams have come true!

Yes, it's been out a while, and you can download it at c|net if you want to have two new browser betas on your poor little PC and party like it's 1996!

"I sometimes wonder if the knuckleheads at Netscape and Mozilla could code their way out of a wet paper bag. I just wish the folks at MS who obviously can write code would spend just a little time being compliant rather than figuring out how to make colored scrollbars"
Now, imagine that? The folks at Microsoft can code? Everyone knows that Microsoft can _buy_ wonderful code!

No, it just came out this week. The "technology preview" has been out for a while, though.
Speaking of technology previews, I just spent 11 hours at work making a skin for Media Player 7 (sweet job, eh?). You can do so much more with WMP7 skins than you can with any other player. Of course, it's still MS. Blarg.
