I'm not sure Mom thinks this is a good idea.

Those kittens have clearly discovered the usefulness of the hamster balls as defensive strongholds into which to retreat. I predict a future of cats moving into increasingly larger plastic balls, hermit-crab-style.

Perfect timing, I am doing my Saturday AM full immersion with NIN's "Hesitation Marks". (awesome, BTW) Watching the kittens, with YouTube sound off, while Trent sings "Various methods of escape" was damn near synchronistic perfection.
Yeah - my misspent youth is showing, huh?

Do they make these in adult cat size? Also, is there a lid for the opening?

Those balls really need to be two layers thick and have one or two small balls rolling around in between the layers. For maximum futility and cuteness.

As we watched, our 17-year-old got up and started swatting the screen. Now she's yelling, wondering were the kittens went. We definitely need adult sizes.

Ours would LOVE that. Someone needs to make these for grown up kitties.

I particularly like the moment near the end where the kitten in the ball barks - BARKS - and scares the whey out of its sibling.

That is one of the strangest sites I've seen in some time. I have no idea how these people got their cats wedged into their balls, or why.

Yorvit does this in his lair (Amazon box with flaps cut in it), sort of, given that the box does not actually roll so he rolls around in it, and I cannot even imagine how much he would love a hamster ball.

They do have ferret balls. Maybe one of those would work for playful grown-up kitties.

So this whole YouTube channel is perfectly groomed cats and pretty rooms filled with colorful trendy furnishings doing various inventive or at least keyword driven content? Are we witnessing the sophistication of the cat video producer? Not that I'm complaining mind you...

I woke up too early this morning, and I was going to make a strident comment in MeTa, and/or a 'fuck politics' post to Facebook, but I clicked on the kittens first and now I'm in a better mood.
Thank you for that. Seriously.

The tension between all kittens are adorable and ZOMG exotic shorthairs are weird-looking cats is causing me difficulty.

the conflict between the Mama Cat going "No! shoving yourself in tight spaces I can't reach is NOT COOL" and the kittens going "NO THIS IS WHAT I WAS BORN TO DO" is the stuff of high drama.
