For eight hours a day to Oct. 13, Facebook and Twitter users can log on to the Melbourne Remote Control Tourist website and "control" two volunteer explorers with helmet-mounted streaming video cameras. Users can check out the explorers' Instagram feeds, track their locations using Google Maps or FourSquare and ask them (via a tweet or Facebook) to visit certain places, check things out or even sing a song. via adage
Tourism Victoria has launched a AU$3.6 million digital campaign for Melbourne that will be widely copied, likely mocked, and morphed in various ways as Google Glass and other wearables become a more mainstream reality.
Does Melbourne’s ‘Remote Control Tourist’ Show the Potential of Wearables in Tourism ? Or is it just really bad live TV ?

Wow that was tiring to watch. But woo, Melbourne must be foodie heaven, hole in the wall cafe had one night a week desert chef night. Three deserts plus a 'tube' which was a jelly with walnuts and brownie in a single 'suck' tube.
