Zombie Story

Zombie Story is an imgur album about the uncanny similarities between Pixar's Toy Story movies and AMC's zombie apocalypse interpersonal drama The Walking Dead.
I think the best part is Lotso Huggin' Bear as The Governor.

> The hero is a sheriff. He's the occasionally-grumpy leader of a group of misfits. His best friend is a hyper-macho officer of the law.
This also summarizes The Andy Griffith Show.

Lotso Huggin' Bear needs his own movie. He was awesome.

The first bit is kind of strained, in the sense that you could map almost any work of fiction onto any other work of fiction if you cherry-pick your data points. The Toy Story III parallel is much closer, but that kind of makes sense since Toy Story III was deliberately satirizing/leveraging the tropes in question. It was like reading someone laughingly explaining how "The Magnificent Seven" is just like a Kurosawa film. Or, looking at the next link down, like reading someone comparing scenes from Monsterpiece Theater with their original analogues.
I mean, it was mildly amusing, but I couldn't enjoy it because the pedant who lives in the back of my head (Oh, who am I kidding. The pedant who basically runs my entire life while I live in the back of my head.) was shouting the whole time about how everyone was missing the point.

Yeah, was gonna say: it's not like either of those big-budget Hollywood gigs are particularly ground-breaking (though don't get me wrong, I love Toy Story like I love the stuffed dog I've had since I was seven).
