If anything they should be commended for getting the original cast back together to act like the Dickens.

Yes, yes. I heard you. You're very clever, Bob. *eyeroll*

Well, Kmart and its parent company, Sears Holdings, IS in pretty deep ship.

This is the first I'm hearing of any of this and I can't not smile at both the original idea and the dedicatedly detailed remake.

I'm surprised that a Christmas 2013 K-Mart commercial is FPPed here and it is not this one.

I will happily Get More Christmas, if you insist.

Next: All Aboard Amtrak! (SLYT) followed by The New Bacon Ranch Sub at Subway (SLpopup)

I never understood why the more inventive Kenmore "Treat Dirt Like Dirt" ads didn't make a huge viral splash like the basically one-note "Ship My Pants" commercials did.

KMarts don't look that nice. Even after Sears tried to get KMart's shit together, it was still an awful mess and the employees are the living dead. The only reason you're aware of their presence is because every so often their bones shift and puffs of dust will fill the air. And then you go to the Little Caesar's that's attached to the KMart because that's just how shopping at KMart works.

The Show Your Joe video is much better than this.

Maybe it's because I'm from Michigan, but I always want to see K-Mart do well. I'd love to see them put a dent in cruddy ol' Walmart.

I considered posting this, as a sequel to my previous post! A++. I love it. Still just as funny the second time around.

I'm going to want to see a third video, to round out the set. I hope K-Mart is working on something!

Past tense. The word is 'shap'.

Even after Sears tried to get KMart's shit together...

I remember some wag at the time of the merger observed that it was like tying two drunks together in the hope they'd walk straight.

It's really jarring to hear 'ship' used in that context in an English accent. Although 'gifting' is catching on over here, so it may well yet replace the Anglo 'deliver to store'.

I'd love to see a full-length version of A Christmas Carol with that cast.

Uhhh, is the joke really ship/shit? Because I have a hard time imagining a place like K-Mart making a joke like that. But if that's not it, I can't see anything funny or interesting about it at all.

See the Show Your Joe ad that I linked above.

They are definitely taking a turn for the naughty.

What I think you're failing to grasp here is that this is not your grandmother's K-Mart.

(Also, online-only ads tend to skew a little more blue.)
