BODYGOD combines chopped & screwed rock and pop loops with nth-generation VHS sources, often with unexpected emotional weight.
I Believe In Me, So You Believe In You
I Hate Myself
I'm Drunk and High at the Same Time
I Still Think About Her
I'll Always Be There When You Wake
When The Dogs Do Find Her
Burn Out
How Many More Times Can I Say I'm Sorry?
Everybody Seems to Think I'm Lazy
I Believe In Me, So You Believe In You
I Hate Myself
I'm Drunk and High at the Same Time
I Still Think About Her
I'll Always Be There When You Wake
When The Dogs Do Find Her
Burn Out
How Many More Times Can I Say I'm Sorry?
Everybody Seems to Think I'm Lazy
holy god these are so awesome.

No one ever says "I want to be TV Carnage when I grow up."

See also Oneohtrix Point Never's youtube channel sunsetcorp for some looped videos like these that feel like weird little pocket universes. My favorite of his is Nobody Here.

The John Lennon one ("Everybody seems to think I'm lazy", from the Beatles "I'm Only Sleeping") was just stupid. That slowed down loop with slowed down footage of a guy running seems pointless. What am I missing here?

These remind me a little of Hell Interface (Boards of Canada) R&B remixes.

"Burn Out" was really hypnotizing; "I hate myself" as well. David Dean Burkhard seems to follow a similar aesthetic in some of his videos. Both VHS effect wise and also in the way video sources are overlayed and combined with neon colours. His music videos for Lemonade's Neptune or David Douglas' California Poppy for example.

I made one of those once.
This one is not my doing but probably my favourite out of this thing.
Also of note is the original Eccojams Tape.

Are you kidding? This is the best! It kicks in at about 30 seconds. That's a cop chasing him, right. Lazy. Running from the law is hard work!

Huh. I came across "Nobody Here" through the wonderful musicforprogramming.net, also found via MeFi (it's a sample on the first mix). Very dream-like.
