oh my god.

that's a casio rapman.

You know, the coolest keyboard ever made.

That could be an FPP in and of itself.

This video is a bit of the lulz, but the song itself is actually not that bad if you're down for the retro-lectro outrun biz. Could use some better production and a bit of tightening, bit more of a dynamic structure overall, but all said it's a decent imitation of Perturbator or some of the other masters of the form.

also that Perturbator vid is goddamn wonderful

A couple videos down the 'suggested' list was Dan Deacon. It was interesting because it had much of what I felt the other lacked. Though I did really like the driving around.

Uh, I don't see how that plastic toy could be considered the coolest keyboard ever made.

The obvious choice would be the SK-1.

You've obviously never played with the voice changer on that thing then. It's one of the most satisfying octavers/pitch shifters I've ever used. I swear I still hear it in songs sometimes, or something that's basically an emulation/imitation of the same quirky effect.

The sk-1 is a classic, I agree, but they're totally different. The rapman is kinda limited, I'm not gonna lie, but what it can do it does totally hilariously and awesome. the drum machine and the samples are just hilarrible.
