Damn, I just threw away a sleeve that my undergrad* made weeks ago that were all contaminated, I should have kept them and held out for a blog to book deal, man.


*me, I made them and failed to keep them sterile, like a noob. Also mine were just not this pretty.

Setting up glamour shots of plates in microbio was definitely part of the fun, so this resonates with me. Deep in the recesses of my email I even found this slightly blurry eosin methylene blue plate that produced some very pretty and shiny blue colonies.
