Sleaford Mods are an English Hip hop/Post-punk duo based in Nottingham. This year the NME asked them to record a Christmas Message (NSFW swearing)
A nice message, eloquently delivered. Also, that Guardian review is fantastic.

I've always thought they were super rubbish but I can see why might appease people who are fans of The Fall or something.

It's not the sort of music I find easy to listen to, but I love the attitude, the message and the simple fact that this sort of music is being made and is getting attention.

It's worth persevering with, I think. Their music didn't click for me for quite a while, but I've been playing Chubbed Up+ a lot recently, and I'm loving it. Definitely a Fall for our age, very clever deadpan lyrics (see Jobseeker, Bambi's pisstake of the Sex Pistols, and 14 Day Court's "Sonic Youth fan, MBV, if you like feedback that much get a job at the council").
