OK; a question that needs to be answered...
That 13 Questions piece refers to Gastr del Sol as "ongoing exploration of experimental rock." Are they just wrong, or have I missed something big? I thought that there hasn't been an "ongoing" Gastr del Sol since 1998....

I don't find it very odd that he appears at a recording session for the soundtrack of his own film.

Thanks for this post, Fizz! He's so good at staying off the radar, such sporadic mentions feel like a small treasure. That TimeOut interview is an interesting peek into his world, with some great leads to follow...
In particular, this Alan Licht/Loren Mazzacane track made my night.
