Funnier still in the context of the Rolling Stone cover article being mocked.

Emily and Bree are super cool, and Tacocat is awesome. If you ever get a chance to see them live, jump on it. Also this article was amazing.

Q: What summer fashion trends are you looking forward to?
A: Sheer cloaks. Lace bombers. Satin and linen pants.
Ooh!

So I saw this doing the rounds today and thought, heh, that's funny, and kinda depressing that this joke still needs making as much as it ever did. But I wouldn't have read it in full if it hadn't come up here, and it's very, very funny, so thank you!

I love Tacocat too! Bree McKenna also has a band named Childbirth with an extremely abrasive and cruel song called "I Only Fucked You as a Joke" that I love way too much. You can stream it at that link.

The editors of The Stranger seem to have a bit of a fixation on articles with naked guys, this year. I'm sure it's good for ad revenue.

I liked this article about responding to street harassment that Emily helped out on, as well as this classic Tacocat song about street harassment!

I imagine a scene where this is said by both parties and they slump down in post-ironic torpor.

I saw Tacocat play a house show in Portland on Cinco de Mayo years ago and apparently Carrie Brownstein was there but I was so messed up on hallucinogens that I couldn't handle being around the house but Tacocat ruled. I think they may have played my house once, too.

In addition to being funny, this article led me to discover MTNS, who are pretty awesome.

The Stranger is a throwback to the 80s and early 90s when "alt weeklies" were actually "alt" and not just part of yet another nationwide consolidated conglomerate.

There's nothing sexier than a male DJ commanding a crowd from behind the turntables. Who are your current style inspirations?
Like most cis-male diabetic half Puerto Ricans, I draw my style points from Ron Morelli, who taught the world the importance of jamming the box heavy.
I will find this man, fight his girlfriend, and marry him.

How did you come to choose the viola as an instrument? Most men don't even know what that is!
I picked the viola because there's lots of time to figure out what I'm supposed to do between my whole notes.
That was...so perfect on so many levels.
