Versions of this slogan have recently become popular with top military command bodies for some reason (p. 7 in PDF). Similar advice applies to defense contractors. (Related previously.)

I was just thinking about these yesterday as I defoliated the side yard. I was listening to an audio book that mentioned "the three monkeys" and thought it might be updated to "the three emoji" I couldn't find a good speak one.

That doesn't seem memey to me at all. It's text on a photo. Text superimposed on a photo doesn't automatically make it an image macro.

Interestingly (to me), the original poster doesn't say "Loose Lips Sink Ships". It actually says "Loose Lips Might Sink Ships". Weird that they felt like they had to hedge the slogan like that. And it wasn't just that one. There's also "Loose Talk Can Cost Lives" and "Keep Your Trap Shut / Careless Talk May Cost American Lives" (racist anti-Japanese imagery in that last one).

No joke, today I was emailed (at the Gmail address that seems to attract idiots who don't know their own email address) about 20 "unclassified" US Army training documents (seems to be some sort of study guide for learning regulations). They originated at a us.army.mil address and were forwarded through various .mil and gmail.com addresses, and lastly to "me" from (something along the lines of) britney_fan_2009 at yahoo.

So. MISTYPED EMAIL ADDRESSES CREATE SECURITY MESSES or something.
