I used to live a twenty minute drive from Shades of Death Road, and have even driven down it a few times...not much in the way of shades or death to report on. A little southwest of there, along the Delaware river, is a place called Foul Rift, which is unfortunately not a fraction as metal as its name.

I was camping at Hell's Gate park in Northern California last month.
I didn't see any three-headed dogs guarding the place....

Every time I drive on the freeway through eastern Montana I pass by the Bad Route Road exit not far from Glendive. Always wondered about the name of that road.

There's a road nearby that I routinely drive called Blood Point Road. Most of the street signs truncate it to "Bl Point Road" since I guess blood is too heavy a concept for the average driver.

About 100km north of where I used to live, in a woodsy area that was mostly crown land, there was an island called "Mysterious Island". I had always wanted to go there, but without a license or a car, nor friends interested in visiting it, I never managed to make the trip. Always did wonder what made it so mysterious.

Suicide Bridge fuck yeah!
The Suicide Bridge restaurant is awesome. Great fresh seafood. I get to go there every few years when I visit family down there, but it's not often enough.
