I was really surprised to see something like this having survived. The first video mentioned archive.org, so I checked and it turns out that these were produced by The Warner Club, an organization of Warner cast & crew, and that these reels were presented at annual dinners. The archive.org page also has these videos (and one of 1947).

I don't know why, but I was secretly hoping for cartoons. This is still good, though.

Me too; for me "Warner Bros" always = cartoons first, movies second.

Yes, I too was hoping for Mel Blanc cussing up a storm and Chuck Jones animating blue.

Claude Rains swearing is oddly satisfying to watch. "Oh God damn!"

I think one of these is an extra on a DVD I have of The Adventures of Robin Hood and it is delightful to see people stumbling a line and yelling "Aw nuts!" Though I can't explain why the screen tests of Basil Rathbone wearing various hats just get funnier and funnier with every new hat.
