Recently seen on college campuses across the US: Advertisements for used hardware, apartments for rent, and that special someone. Lucasfilm takes advertisement underground.

Seriously, though, I'm embarrased for anyone who actually takes the effort to print off those things using their own resources and help that out-of-touch fatcat promote his over-cgi-ed and under-acted movie.
Of course, that said, I'll still probably go see it (episode 2). I grew up on that stuff and it still has a place (which is shrinking/getting overtaken by Lord of the Rings) in my heart.

Thanks SO much for assisting in the promotion of this undiscovered movie by some lowly unknown director.

I hate marketing.
Is there anyone anywhere who wasn't going to see EpII until they were swayed by some cutesy marketing campaign?
The name-recognition thing makes sense on your average movie. You want people to have heard of a flick before it's released, but does anyone not know that this movie is coming?
I'm fearful, given the money the Fellowship made, that this fall will be one big marketing-fest for LOTR-II. Get your Tickle-Me-Frodo dolls before they sell out!
