Ali Alamedy, an Iraqi artist living in Turkey after being forced out of his country, makes incredibly detailed dioramas of places he has read about but has never been. From filmmaker Veena Rao.

That's a great video, both for being able to see the dioramas themselves and for being able to hear where they come from in Alamedy's life.

This is relevant to my interests. I've always been fascinated by miniatures and dioramas and dollhouses, and these are exquisite. I would be a bit worried about being a refugee in Erdogan's Turkey; I hope his artwork helps him keep his stress levels down.
