Felissimo Nekobu, the "cat club" section of a Japanese online retailer, asked followers on Twitter to help prove that cats are liquid. SLTwitter thread.

Interesting. We've seen many arguments that cats are liquid because they take the shape of their container. But it seems that Japanese cat lovers are focusing more on how cats "flow." Love it!

My younger cat was more gaseous when she arrived, but an improvement in food has mostly fixed that.
Once in a while, she aspires to plasma.

Mine has more of a jello-like consistency at the moment. I am typing this with one hand because if I remove the other hand the snuggly purring will stop.

My CH kitty Melanie always went boneless whenever I picked her up. We'd call her Jelly Melly.

I have described my friends' cat as a fluffy liquid for years now, because when he flops he just kind of melts into the space, becoming a fluffy puddle with ears and a twitchy tail tip.
