Learn about rare plants and the fate of Tony's Italian Beef Stand (YouTube) - Joe Blowe makes nature documentaries, mostly about botany and streams of consciousness.
Oh look, it's at full anthesis! Full frontal! Cover your eyes!
This is fantastic.

I've been watching this guy for the past week, since he was posted on Reddit, and aside from the need to take some Gravol beforehand, I heartily endorse his videos. He's full of great one-liners ("whenever anyone says 'superbloom,' a Hummer drivers over some cryptobiotic crust"), but he also has an incredible depth of knowledge about the chaparral of southern California and northern Baja, a genuine love of beautiful plants, a genuine loathing of development and loss of biodiversity, and a vast vocabulary of botanical terms. He expresses his enthusiasm for plant life so effectively that his videos don't get bogged down by all the technical terms, and I think anyone with an even mild interest in plants can learn a lot from his videos. Two thumbs up!

As someone who was accused of being a wizard last week because I know the Latin names of plants, would it be wrong for me to say that I want to track this guy down and marry him? He speaks my language.
