Immersed in a game

Immersed is a podcast about board games by Chris and Suzanne Zinsli, the designers and bloggers of Cardboard Edison. Each episode delves into a single game, its play and design and inspiration -- as well as an interview with someone who works in the real-world field that the game distills into an hour or so of tabletop enjoyment.
Episodes so far include "Place of Miracles - Viticulture", which discusses how games can ignore the "non-fun" parts of daily life; "The Double Event - Mr. Jack", which sheds light on a particular moment in the murderous career of Jack the Ripper; "The Threat - Pandemic", which talks about how information-sharing is critical to the fight against infectious disease; and "Crisis - Hostage Negotiator", which talks to a police officer who fell into his first negotiation.

Really enjoyed this, have listened to the pandemic and hostage negotiator episodes so far. It's an odd mix, the board game and irl chat, but it works for me.
