This is such a fucking cool project. My work's open data sets are on there and maybe people will actually use them.

I can't quite answer that but I can tell you that the last time I looked into the Google Cemetary, the median lifespan of those products was something like 4 or 5 years. To do a proper analysis, we'd probably need to also analyze the lifespans of current, not-yet-dead Google products.

The most apt comparison to me for this service is Google Scholar, and that’s quite healthy. This also seems like something Google’s own researchers will consume, so I think it’ll be ok for a decent while.
