Surprise! People love to recreate not only great and famous artworks, but also terrible amateur paintings. Remember the Getty Museum Challenge? Previously on MeFi. This one is even more hilarious! (Facebook group is private, but Sad & Useless Humor has a round up of outstanding accomplishments)
Joyous!

I feel like, at long last, I have found my people. I want to buy them all a beer. Many beers. All the beers.

I am in this FB group. It is Terrible Art In Charity Shops (TAICS). The art re-creation thing has been a diversion during the COVID lockdown, but it is officially ending June 14. There are some wonderful folks in the group; check it out!

the best art piece I framed, in my best frame is a greenish, swirl like, wonderful acrylic on a bingo card I bought for 2$ at a resale shop. I bought 3 and the following week, the price had gone up slightly and were arranged better.
and you have to smile at that.

Takes art therapy to another level. Reminiscent of the Museum of Bad Art in 90's Boston, but with people subbing in for the satirical descriptions.
