Just wow, anyone that has a clever idea, the best meme ever, should be directed to Schnittke gravestone!

> Herbert von Karajan's passion for Porsche
"Herbert was one of the first clients that Porsche called when an early production 959 was ready for him to test drive. [...] His wife expressed concern with the statement, “you’d better sell more records”, which is said to have been the reason for the increase in his ticket prices."

Only just starting to browse through, but wouldn't Schnittke's gravestone be interpreted as "eternal rest/ resting forever," um, loudly?

Yes, it's ironic. That's the joke.

I gave up trying to find a way to listen to the music on Stockhausen's gravestone, which is apparently from his 29-hour work Licht. And I found another Stockhausen gravestone.

This came up while I was checking out links. This is like a young Dmitri Hvorstovsky or his son, with a small time boys chorus, all singing an enchanting piece of music, reminiscent of Pärt choral work. Really wonderful in several ways.

Some great stuff here!
Since there are so many colorized photos, how come no-one has done that one of Saint-Saens yet? No way is that magnificent outfit just black and white.
Shostakovich looks nothing like I had imagined (and surprisingly cute). I may have muddled him up with Rachmaninoff, who looks absolutely terrifying.
Also, slight derail (not a composer), but while Schnittke's gravestone is impressive, my favourite remains that of the artist Patrick Caulfield .

I look forward to examining the links in more detail when I have a chance. Meanwhile, I thought I'd drop the Composers Doing Normal Shit Twitter account, including this rather majestic photo of Camille Saint-Saens in his pyjamas.

... and the OP contains Saint-Saëns in his pyjamas also. But what's music without repeat bars?
