Family by Tim Sheinman (Owl_Skip on itch.io) is a playable in-browser game where your job is to deduce the identities of musicians in a fabricated 80s London music scene using bits of music, interviews, biographies etc. (post title from RPS writeup)

I've been wanting to play this ever since John Walker featured it in his Buried Treasure blog a few weeks back. Maybe this will finally kick me into getting around to it.

Sentence I didn't think I'd be saying today (or any day): Identifying Dova Palova's drummer is like trying to differentiate between Chinese topmen.

Not my kind of music, but I thought it was impressively well done. I had less trouble finding Dova's drum than one other stupid thing, before i noticed that I had missed a connecting guide.

For anyone else trying this: the full download has a bit more, and the audio works, which it didn't for me on the website.

I think Dova's Pavolova's drummer is the final boss, identifiable only through process of elimination after you've gotten everyone else.

The final note and ending song are so sweet - competing with Perspective (download page) for my favorite free game ending.
