Huh.

Kelly the Shoes Betch has somehow become a more coherent and meritworthy voice on the pandemic crisis than the President of the United States and half of Congress.

I want out of 2020 so bad.

OMG I missed all of those posts somehow. That is really good humorism!!! They are really good at punchlines... especially loved the Let Me Borrow that Top one. And the music! It's not super complex, but it's good! And the format with a sketch and a song? It's also good! And just enough random in the music videos to keep it entertaining when the songs get a little... repetitive.

Kelly's dad, who Kelly's mom describes as "a woke" now that he has read a book and say that he loves her. I can't believe how quickly that word turned into a pejorative. Being new to Kelly I can't say it's surprising that she has become a more coherent and meritworthy voice... but she does get Boomers pretty well.

I had to make sure I wasn't Kelly there at the beginning, when her mom said it only takes a pandemic to get her daughter to call her. I'm pretty sure those exact words have come out of my mom's mouth in the past 3 months.

Oh, Kelly. This is great. I missed you. Let's wear a mask.

Thank you thank you thank you. I forgot how much I loved Kelly "Shoes"; the editing & music were so very late 70's early 80's art punk. This is a great follow up. I'm off to embroider some fangs on my mask.

I've seen ads for embroidered masks once or twice. Is that... okay? Is only the outer layer of fabric embroidered, or does the embroidery not create extra holes through the mask? Maybe the fabric sticks to the thread instead? I dunno, it's probably fine, but I don't know the details well enough, so I worry.

I anticipate lots of jack-o'-lantern and fanged masks around Halloween time. :)

Is it wrong that my first thought was that my daughter finally knows enough curse words that I could probably show her the songs from both videos? We already pronounce shoes as “shuhs” as our little in-joke so Kelly is already a part of our household culture.

eviemath, I intend to do simple embroidery on the outer pieces of my mask, so the holes won't go all the way through both inner & outer layers of fabric. Also I have a design that creates a pocket where an additional filter can be inserted, between the inner & outer layer. And lastly, I rarely go out. Fang mask will likely be for (the very small group) people I'm willing to socialize with at a distance on my front porch.
