The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya

Come, children, and mothers of children;
weavers of wonder, wards of warriors.
Hear me now as I recite
A story, of a lifetime faraway.
Listen.
Reimena Yee does more than tell enthralling stories through her art. While you browse the comics on her website and download for your reading pleasure, go and take a look at her comic art analysis blog Ribu as well. I discovered her through the hardcover edition by Unbound in my local library and can't stop gushing over her work.

Just paid the artist-author for their work and downloaded: perfect reading for a chilly night.

I came back to gush as well!
Such beautiful artwork, compelling themes of finding your place in the world, what it means to create AND share beautiful things (including selling them to make a living!) I'm trying not to read the whole thing in one go, but it's hard.
Thank you so much, infini, for making this post.

Fantastic! Read about a quarter of the ebook before giving up and buying the hardcover because it's so good. I hope there's a print edition of Volume II soon!

It looks like The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya is an arc of the larger webcomic which also looks great.

Its so beautiful, especially the love in the first volume, that it transformed my mood and outlook. I'm so happy to see other gushers ;p
