Jofra Bosschat described his works as "Surrealism based on studies of psychology, religion, the Bible, astrology, antiquity, magic, witchcraft, mythology and occultism."
He is perhaps best known for his Zodiac Series which has an accompanying contemplative blog from symbolreader.
However his other work initially inspired by Salvador Dalí is equally if not more fantastical. ( Art. Some images NSFW. Some repeats)

Too bad he didn’t make a Tarot deck. He has the chops.

I have his Zodiac book. He's amazing. I'd say he was in the Surrealist/Visionary art style that people like Ernst Fuchs worked in and later led to Robert Venosa and Alex Gray, etc.

My father has (and still uses) a calendar with these illustrations, each one set over the appropriate range of days (so, for instance, the Aries page covers March 21 to April 19) in a weekday-free list so it can be used perpetually. He's had it since I was a kid and I've spent a long time staring at them. For some reason it never occurred to me to look up who the artist was, and I know I missed a ton of the symbolism embedded in the pictures, so this is a pretty intriguing link with lots to read over.
