The legendary 'miracle' rings of Ourense "An ancient legend in Galicia, Spain, tells of nine medieval bishops who made vows of poverty in the monastery of Santo Estevo. After their death, their nine rings were believed to have miraculous healing powers. However, over time the rings were lost without trace and they became little more than a myth. Centuries later, authour María Oruña researched these legendary rings, and used them as inspiration for her novel The Forest of the Four Winds.
