"I had a photo of the throne in front of me to use as a reference while building this. I didn't have any measurements though, I just kind of 'wung' it, and worked on each individual piece as I saw it in the photo."Watch Boylei Hobby Time scratch build a statue of Boba Fett. Watch him build a diorama for each episode of The Mandelorean. Watch him make scenes and adventures for his Wild Imaginary West setting.
These videos really appeal to my desire to buy toys, but my frustration that there's nothing to do with them.

Maybe find YouTube videos or other sources that are static shots of things? Display them full-screen on your computer or on your TV if it's bigger? I don't know if you paint from photos, but that's also an option.
This guys is obviously using reference material, from the FPP.

Very nice! Reminds me of work by Sillof, who does custom figures, including many SW variants (previously; previouslier)
