That is SO WHOLESOME.

That kid is way more relaxed and in control on the slopes than I've ever been.

Last year I face planted while cross country skiing down a hill at a golf course and since then I've been a little reluctant to do anything more than the most gentle of slight inclines taken at long cross angles.

I won’t fall
Maybe I will
That’s OK
‘Cause we all fall

This is utterly adorable. And Genjiandproust, you're right about that as a meditation focus! It would be a nice cross-stitch too.

Somehow my Tik Tok feed is full of little kids snowboarding and skiing. It is the greatest. They put some tiny kids on snowboards.

One thing that I have learned since March 2020 is that I am always here for a little kid doing winter sports or a baby interacting with a kitten or puppy.

Ahhhh - she just looks so incredibly graceful and gentle gliding down that secret path. Oh to be four and on a snowboard.

You might as well have asked me to quarterback the Superbowl, when I was 4.

Oh man, I'm in love with this little girl and her get-back-up attitude. Sometimes we're all stuck-a-sauruses but after a bit of indiscernable verbal struggles we can be powdersauruses again.

My own 4-year-old granddaughter sounds exactly like this, when doing things. She’d love both a snowboard and dino suit.

There are a lot of advantages to being tall and heavy, but some days I dream of being light and tiny and the freedoms that would bring.

So cute! This is what every parent dreams that an outing with their child is going to be like. Some are, many are not.

I remember narrating everything like that when I was that age. A whole uncensored world inside your mind that leaks that you broadcast when you're young until you are taught to keep that shit to yourself. Carlin has a bit about that.

My first reaction was, I hope she's in the Olympics someday, and then I thought, NO!

I just want her to be Stuck-a-saurus forever, having fun and doing that sing-song on whatever hill she chooses.

this is possibly THE.BEST.THING.EVER. she is inspirational, adorable. I'm fairly awed by her confidence and grace on that board. (thinking of that one time adult me ever tried snowboarding...)

but also, like, I need that dino suit, but in size Adult? please?

I do some part time work as a lift operator (chair bumpers unite!) and the tiny kids are so much fun. The love to say the most random things as you’re loading them. They also have zero fear.

The way she states "Weewhoo" instead of like, yelling it, is such a great example of fake it 'til you make it. I'm going to start saying it.

I went to their linked site and there’s a clip of the family riding bikes, the dad announces he’s going to pop a wheelie, he ends up crashing and she is so excited that she caught it on camera.

I ski / board most winter weekends - and I got to tell you the little kids are adorable and always one of the highlights of my day - all padded up like little pandas in the snow.

Also - if you need some more kid based ski stoke today, here is the first blind skier to send it down the Grand Couloir at Big Sky. He’s just 12, blind, and skiing down a 1000ft high 50 degree steep channel - something I would never do even after 20 years of being on a board / skis. So get out amongst it this weekend!

When I grow up I want to be a four-year-old snowboarding in a dinosaur costume.

That is so great! I'm here on my laptop but I immediately went and rewatched it on my phone so that I could like it on my own TikTok and make sure I get a nudge into that goodness algorithm.

I have a vision of them going to a store and looking at snowsuits and her immediately pointing to the dinosaur one. "But it will be harder to see out of and might be harder to maneuver in." "Weeewhoo!"

Yeah kids at that age have no fear on the snow, we got our kids skiing young and they would disappear out of sight, way too fast for us to keep them in sight and safe .... we eventually, around 10-12 switched them to snowboarding just to slow them down for a couple of years as their common sense developed more

I literally had to learn to ski this year after being a snowboarder for years, because by the time I bound in on my board off the lift - which normally takes 20 seconds - my 7 year old was already *gone* (like out of sight gone) and I’d have to start guessing which runs he was taking as he straight lined it down the hill. With over 300 trails, that’s a little stressful at PC Mountain…..

They should teach tree searching algorithms to computer science students by putting them at the top of a ski run, with each trail off going to new nodes. Now what is the most efficient algorithm to find your 7 year old….

I started skiing last season as an adult and it is humbling, seeing kindergarten kids swooshing by, on slipes I just barely get down.

inflatablekiwi that's a awesome story! And here I was complaining about the flat light yesterday
