You know the accounting meme has hit the wall

You know the accounting meme has hit the wall when folk singers start to make songs about WorldCom. Any else got some good links to give people a chuckle about the economy? (Forgive me if I offend, this is my first post)
But neatly balanced out by your Christopher Walken comment the other day, which made me laugh 'til I coughed. Put me down as a Friend of Phyrewerx.

I tried my hand with a front page post once and heard in reply fervent prayers for the future of MeFi. I love this place, but I mostly lurk now.

It was a decent first try, but it was a dumb song -- and thus, a weak link. You could have looked up some past folk songs about the economy (or just Mark Shields!) and I know I heard something about a folk song craze making fun of the boom a few years back. Really, modern folk has always been topical. Guthrie, Seeger -- listening to their songs today is a time-travel leap to the concerns of the past.

Hoping I still have a sliver of a chance to redeem myself, here's a really great folk song about globalization.
Bringing up about how people are poking jest at Enron, WorldCom and the likes is essentially looking at how people are coping with current economic problems. I never looked at how folk songs have played into this. But thanks for your suggestion dhartung.

MetaFilter is quite terrifying. I've only been lurking for three days, and already I'm getting nightmares.

Phyrewerx, Naked Blog- I have lurked for two years now, posted a comment (due to my fear of front page) and was flatly ignored. Being ignored feels worse than being lambasted...just like high school.... *sigh*

Don't worry about it guys--most people are so busy knocking this guy
that the rest of us can breath easier... : >
re the folk songs: I think there used to be a place in the mass media for them (up until the 70s?), but now rap is probably the closest thing we've got.

Well, at least it's rap. I hope Britney doesn't start singing woes about her portfolio or infectious greed anytime soon....
Thanks for all your support guys, it was my first try at posting and I guess it could've been worst.
