Zelda, but if I say "Shrek" then 10 Shreks spawn

The Can I beat Breath of the Wild BLINDFOLDED (Great Plateau) run is truly a work of art. If you watch only one of these streams (and all of them are entertaining), make it that one!!

LOL, I don't understand a lot of this having played BOTW but not really knowing anything about speed runs or streaming culture or whatnot. Like, how does he unspawn Link in the middle of the game?

He's playing modded versions of BotW that let him tinker and set certain rulesets and parameters. It's a lot of silly fun and leads to unexpected hilarity. Enjoy.

My kid watches PointCrow and CrotonZelda and you will never convince me that they’re two different people.

PointCrow also looks very similar to Lil Indigestion, another streamer my wife and I are big fans of. There's a large number of white dudes with glasses who speedrun. Hehe.

PointCrow is just such a genuinely enthusiastic guy. I kind of despise speedruns and the culture built up around them, but enjoy PointCrow when he comes across my radar despite that. He also has kind of a kooky science teacher vibe; here’s a good video that has nothing to with gaming and everything to do with answering the question “what do you do when you get a chemistry degree but it makes more sense to do streaming full time?” : I Broke the Record for Largest Chemistry Experiment

It’s funny, he does so much wacky nonsense that I forget that he is genuinely good at video games. I think that’s key to my enjoyment, because I’ve never found skillful gaming to be compelling to watch. Competitive play like in a tournament or whatever is so boring to me, and I don’t understand how there are multiple industries built up around it. But I also dislike regular competitive sports at a pro level. It’s when people just fuck around and find out that I am entertained. PointCrow seems to understand this mindset.

I enjoyed the chicken run very much.

It might just be because I'm old, but the editing and screaming and his constant state of WTF grate on me. Or maybe it's because I don't watch many streamers?

I've seen much worse. He seems like he's genuinely having fun, not fake-amplifying his emotions like some others do

> It might just be because I'm old

Ding ding! Same situation here, but it's something you can used to with more exposure. I've been hooked on Mario Maker troll level streamers for years, and have been introduced to PointCrow among others through the algorithm. Over time, I've even come to prefer higher-energy streamers/YouTubers, as long as they appear to be their genuine selves and are not over the top loud or outrageous.
