I'm going to break one of the cardinal rules of MF here and post a link to my own Web site. The horror. But! But! But! These links from the ID 2000 Interactive Media Design Review (and elsewhere) are just too damn good not to share with you folks. I got all tingly and fired up just looking at them...damn the rules, full steam ahead!

I didn't get jumpstuff either. What were they selling, desktop accessories?

The links were all top-notch, and I hadn't seen any of them before. Good work on the part of the ID judges. Although of course, the links were a bit heavy on the flash, but they did use it in cool ways. The Lufthansa site was a nice mix between The Brain and gabocorp.

just a note, the judges don't actually DIG THIS STUFF UP. you know that, right? they don't seek it out.

it's submitted (along with an entry fee) and it works its way up through a hierarchy of staff, mid-level, and (eventually) big name judges.

i know you know that. but, you know, maybe not everybody does.

I think the cardinal rule on MetaFilter is to link to something worthwhile-- if it's yours or not.

Um, no. I got the shite beaten out of me a month ago for committing autobloggatio. Weren't we also talking back then about A-list Webloggers? Don't the A-list kids manage to get away with sins the rest of us don't? How does Kottke get away with autobloggatio?
(BTW, an announce feature is supposedly forthcoming. For all I know, Matt will have a shitefit for my mentioning that.)

Yes Joe... you're absolutely right.
In fact it just happened recently.

I of course mean no disprespect to Matt or Jason (I love how I say that, like I *actually* know them). I think Matt is willing to let an occasional rule get bent unless feathers fly. Jason is as important a member of MetaFilter, entitled to have his say as the rest of us. No more, no less.

(This is, of course nothing more than a marker, as I'm about to let a few trolling hypocrites have it, and they can't claim they posted here too)
