with the worst probably still to come Even people who are younger face “about a 20% increased risk of heart attacks and stroke” within six months of a COVID illness, “which for people who are in their 30s and 40s is a pretty big increase,” Hudson added. I definitely had two very minor cardiac events within three months of my sole covid infection and a half dozen tiny migraine aura events up to a year afterwards. Never having had either before or since leads me to suspect causality. So yeah it’s not really a respiratory disease? it’s a fuck you up with blood clots disease.

which to be clear doesn't mean there's a 20% chance such will happen, but that it's 20% more likely than normal. It would be helpful to clarify what the norm is (ie: how likely any normal person would be to have a heart attack or stroke within a normal six month period).
