I saw this and thought it was cool: at Wave Hill, a public garden and cultural center in New York City, "If you would like to visit on a day when religious beliefs prevent you from carrying money, or carrying your Wave Hill Membership card," they can accommodate your visit. (You pre-register via phone or their website, and then the gatehouse staff can check the pre-registration list to confirm when you arrive.)
