Cute, but not 200 bucks cute.

BRB -- gonna email my old friend from Atlanta about this so he can buy it as he loves cats AND he loves pedals.

(He's probably one of the new indie rock & rollers who is managing to be a touring musician in his 50s)

The penis keycaps in the instragram video were more compelling than the cat simulation tbh.

For those on a budget this thing is cute and sounds about the same.

I guess this is cheaper than paying a real cat to be in your band, but ... it doesn't quite sound the same.

(that's probably too oblique. that was meant to be a joke about the initial lackluster response at launch to the eventually legendary Roland "Transistor Bass" TB-303)

So you're saying this will inspire a new wave of acid house?

ShooBoo: They finally did it. A cat guitar pedal that meows (7:42)

My first question was going to be "what does Emily Hopkins think of this?" so I'm so glad that was answered in the OP!

aubilenon, I've got a great 303 story. The Late Mr. Nerd was a tech at Roland US from '84-'88. They used to run over broken 303's for the lulz.

acid mouse?
acid meows?

The guitar sounds like an effect, but the others sound almost just like a sample , maybe she had some chorus or something on the guitar that spread the sound out? The harp and keyboard sounded very sample-based to me, maybe it's just the tones of each.

Also purr? Did I miss that in the insta video? That said wonder if there's circuits available or if this will spawn a whole new era of animal sound synthesis.

@tommasz: at first, I thought your comment said something about 200 ducks and then I reread it. Then I thought: we need an effect that sounds like ducks.

You mean a quack-quack?

if you hook up a cry baby wah wah pedal backwards you can get seagull noises - like david gilmore in echoes or man in the prelude/the storm

Brian May made his guitar meow over 30 years ago in the Queen song, Delilah.
