Bison prophecy, fulfilled in Yellowstone!

BBC: Sacred buffalo calf offers hope amid efforts to revive species. A white (well, cream-colored) calf was born into the Yellowstone herd on June 4. "Many tribes consider a white bison birth to be a sacred omen that signifies change."
Honestly, we could use more sacred omens.

Very nice. (And fuck open range cattle as a consideration when talking about native fauna or flora thriving.)
Yellowstone is one of the earth's great places. If you haven't visited, you should add it to your bucket list.

Well the heavens had been screaming for the better portion of the first half of the year. So a land sign is very welcome.

Wikipedia has a list of white buffalo births over the years. Quite a few are from the 21st century. Perhaps the phenomenon is better documented than it used to be.

I also wondered about this. The event doesn't seem all that unique, except the article says the Yellowstone herd is wild; unlike those on tribal lands, and elsewhere, I guess.
