Elementary school teacher, beauty queen and illustrator, Hojeong Kim makes printables for teachers that encourage kids to think outside the box. The examples above are from her 4th graders and frankly, I just think they are super charming and I thought you'd like to see them.

Thanks for that "printables" link. It's the only one that actually shows us what this is about, if we're not logged into Instagram.

Someone took the half camera and got the Yellow Submarine plus a bit of the weird world it floats in, and that someone ought to have some proud parents!

One of my elementary school teachers did this in 1970's, and I loved them. I still have my "Noodleman Smoking a Cigarette" picture somewhere.

When my boy was in 1st grade of a melting pot elementary school in Boston, the kids were tasked to draw the emblem in the middle of the flag of Mexico. I labelled his response "Penguin being ticked by french loaf" and we had it up on the fridge door until we left the country. I cd/shd have left off with the irony.
