Paint By Numbers

Paint By Numbers Proving that everything old school is new again. Choose from hundreds of masterworks from artistic greats such Georgia O'Keefe, Mark Rothko, Picasso and Monet or just paint up the perfect black velvet Elvis. Select your artwork, choose a color and click to fill. You'll never color outside the lines again. (This was just too fun to save for Friday.) [ Via Linky Dinky ]
They're trying to make us comform! Come with me, Stan "Winston Smith" Chin, and we shall escape this hell!

But why can't I choose my own color?
Um, because the name of the game is how fast you can fill in the color to its place. I too thought great now I can be the master of a piece of art.

am I the only one who is having trouble getting the colors on the "canvas"? I click in the area, on the number, and it seems like at random I'll fill the space. Most of the time it won't do anything. :(

i can finish levels set on easy. for the hard ones, i've tried cheating by pressing the pause button while i think and i *still* can't finish in time. but maybe with hours and hours and hours of practice...

Opening the PBN link in Mozilla 1.1 on my Mac (OS 9) causes Moz's memory usage to jump from 40.9MB to 65.3MB, and that's without even selecting an image to paint. What gives?

I've finished two of them at the advanced level before time ran out. That would 2 out of 5. I'm addicted. I should be going to bed but I'm going to do one more--Night Sky. It's appropriate.

Hey, this is such fun! Haven't finished within the time yet (and thank heaven for the zoom button, 'cos my eyes aren't really up to the fine detail!) but I'm better at Andy Warhol than Georgia O'Keeffe.
Great link - ta very muchly!
