This is also on the extended Fellowship of the Rings DVD. It's an easter egg. From the chapter selection menu of the first DVD, press "down" after the last scene and a ring icon will appear. Select the ring icon to view this in splediferous DVD. (There's a similar easter egg on the second DVD.)
