You are a loser because I say so. Ellison, the second richest person in the world, decides to give some come-upance to the intellectual elite his human resource people are probably now kicking themselves in the head over.
(Yeah yeah yeah, I know you "got it". Really. Nobody on MetaFilter would ever fall for a BBSpot story, would they?)

The problem is that when a story is >>THISCLOSE<< to reality, it's hard to see sometimes that it's supposed to be funny... Did any of us who followed the link and read the story really not believe that Ellison-the-psychotic-Zen-squirrel was not only capable of doing something like that, but has in fact done even stupider things in public (and private, if the harrassment suits have any merit...)?

As do I. BBSpot has a problem with credibility...in that they have it, and don't want it. How amusing. Imagine if people took the Onion seriously?
My God, Irene, it says here that Jesus has converted to Islam! I think it's because BBSpot doesn't go as far as our endlessly peeling pals in Chicago do. I actually thought it was a real story myself until I realized it was on BBSpot, home of my personal favorite, the Office Jesus bit. Meanwhile, I have Ellison envy.
I wish I was a psychotic zen squirrel.

But the part about him being pulled off by the campus security.. now come on, that's just the best.
