The National Library of Scotland and its interesting collection of online exhibits :
the Murthly Hours,
an illuminated book of hours (folios
here);
16th century maps of Scotland;
playbills from Edinburgh's Theatre Royal;
16th century Scottish books;
the albums of the Edinburgh Calotype Club;
R.L. Stevenson;
Robert Burns;
World War I stories; more.
didnt know we were allowed in the library, theyve always had security guards standing outside it and its beside the signet library so i've always assumed its for the toffs.
maybe i'll buck up the courage to go in sometime.
