That is just stupid on so many levels. I'm not particularly fond of filibusters or Republicans, but to suggest that filibustering is responsible for jobless and uninsured Americans and the national debt - well, that's just dumb. Makes me embarrassed to be on the same 'side'.

Looks like the standards of "very well done" have dropped dramatically.
I can't decide which element I liked better: the effortless deconstruction of everything that makes Satire good (namely, Humor) or the overall hamfisted treatment of an already tiresome subject: mainstream American political left-vs-right sniping.

widdershins, they never suggested that filibusters were responsible for lost jobs or anything else. They suggested that these Republicans see the appointment of these 4 nominees as more important than the welfare of their constituents even though all of their other nominees were appointed.
I don't know if I thought it was good or not but I definitely don't find it as obscene as the usual right v.s. left sniping. Nobody was labeled a devil, communist or useful idiot.

Or a "Defender of all Things Duhbya".
You can feel the IQ points dropping whenever that one's tossed around.

substrate, point taken. However, I just don't like the approach - obviously the issues they mentioned are all important, but that doesn't mean that they should be the only things worked on - or that the 4 nominations are completely unimportant. It's just such a heavy-handed approach that it does an injustice to the message, imo.

Lesson #1: Many Liberals have a good sense of humor, but the Democratic Party does NOT.
Lesson #2: Fun for nofundy is not like fun for the rest of us.
