What is it about dolls? Sometimes they just seem so very VERY creepy!

This was ickily disturbing.
Other weird doll things include: (1) Druisilla on Buffy, who was girly enough to have dolls but twisted enough to tie them up and gag them; (2) that Hole video for Doll Parts; (3) film featuring "erotic" underwear dance with, and/or seemingly directed at, a clown doll. What *is* it about dolls?

you wanna talk creepy dolls? these dolls aren't trying to be creepy, I don't think. They freek me out so much that I keep a bookmark to this page right at the top of my list.

My aunt's soft sculpture dolls aren't creepy, but she can render - from memory - an eery likeness of someone she has met decades ago. The dolls are built from the endoskeleton on up, and can be positioned by means of a control box built into the back of the head.

Those are great, palegirl (but not particularly creepy...I don't seem much affected by dolls, clowns, etc.).
