Good lord, they added "fist-fucker" and "gang-bang". Nice to know they are hyphenated. I didn't see it on the link, but I heard on TV that they also added "baby momma".

toothless joe - I swear I read that as "fish-fucker" the first time around.

What about "asshat?"

I anxiously await the day 'fucktard' is given its proper due.

Why does Mark Steel (2001) get a reference for fuckwit while Viz isn't mentioned. An absolute travesty.

I'd like to think that fuckwit is in thanks to the efforts of MetaFilter. Let's all do our part to get asshat in next quarter!

I'm glad to see "grep" in there. I've used that in conversation for years. I'm a little bewildered by some entries, though. "Cilantro"? Does this have some double-meaning, or is this a newer vegetable than I thought that it was? Ditto on "bunny hop," "chipotle," "doofus," "gag rule," and "entry level."

Its likely not on there (link's busted presently) but "scumfuck" is my favorite new word. But "blegging" is another favorite for the bloggers who plead for money to pay off their debt.

xmutex, you could have added a link, I just spent the last five minutes trying to find the QuarterlyOxfordEnglishDictionaryUpdateFilter and have come up empty.

No, not really but damn, pretty strong reaction to a pretty innocuous post. A little Scrooging going on or what?

OED is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to American slang, but they're doing much better than they used to.

Have to disagree, its been building up strongly in usage for over a decade in the UK (and the OED is UK based after all) largely thanks to the aforementioned Viz magazine, but was apparently Australian in origin.
