The thing that strikes me is how many moving parts (and potential for failure, therefore) the robot actually has. Somehow, I think NASA could learn a thing or two from these guys: Robot Wars

They make nice use of imaginary cameras in the video, adding jitter and blur and smooth pans to give a more "real" feel to it -- a nice touch.
